Course Title Channel Coding (通道編碼)

InstructorYunghsiang S. Han (韓永祥)

Course goalTo teach students the fundamental knowledge about coding theory.

Final grademidterm exam 30%final exam 30%final project 30%,attendance rate 10

A set of lecture notes will be provided on my personal website. The following are the textbook and recommended reference:

Textbook: Error Control Coding, Second Edition, S. Lin and D. J. Costello, Jr., Prentice-Hall, Inc., 2004. (歐亞書局代理)

Reference: Error Correction Coding: Mathematical Methods and Algorithms by Todd K. Moon, Wiley-Interscience, 2005.

Students’final grades for this course are based on their performances in midterm examination, final examination, final project reports on problems in the coding theory research area, and up to 60-minute oral presentations on their reports. Students will be asked to attend every lecture in order to learn the topics of coding theory.
